Values and competitiveness for inclusive and sustainable local development: ICA takes part in GSEF2018

GSEF2018 was held in Bilbao, from October 1 to 3 in an event organized by the Bilbao City Council. The central theme was "Values and competitiveness for inclusive and sustainable local development". More specifically, GSEF2018 presented initiatives that have created employment, improved the quality of life, strengthened social cohesion and inclusion, contributing to the competitiveness of cities and regions, bearing in mind the key factor of sustainability, fostering inclusive and sustainable local development of cities.

Ariel Guarco, President of the ICA was one of the panelists highlighting the world needs “a people-centred Economy rooted in the territory. If we want a fairer world, we need enterprises that are managed in a democratic fashion. We need cooperatives. Watch the video of his speech here

The 1,700 attendees from all continents (84 countries) participated in 5 plenary sessions, 42 workshops organized in 9 work sessions, distributed in 5 parallel rooms, and 11 technical visits.
